Play N Trade Brings the Ultimate Video Gaming Experience to Chubbuck

Grand Opening Features Spiderman, Super Smash Brothers Tournament, Mayor England in a Guitar Hero Challenge, Costume Contest, Prizes and More

CHUBBUCK Idaho, April 19, 2007 – Play N Trade Franchise, Inc., one of the fastest-growing franchises worldwide, celebrated the Chubbuck store Grand Opening with a three-day event, featuring Mayor Stephen England in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a guest appearance by Spiderman, a Super Smash Brothers tournament, a costume contest, Guitar Hero challenges, prizes, and free food and drinks, bringing the ultimate video gaming experience to town.

“As soon as they walk in the door, gamers know Play N Trade is the place they want to be,” said store owner Jeremy Hix. “Our stores are fun. We encourage our customers to come in and challenge the employees to a game, or relax on the couch with a soft drink and watch other people play. We offer an atmosphere that is inviting to everyone from the casual gamer to the hard core enthusiast, as well as parents looking for recommendations on what games to buy their kids.”

In addition to participating in the official opening ceremonies, Mayor England played a rousing rendition of “You Really Got Me” as made famous by Van Halen on Guitar Hero, cheered on by the enthusiastic crowd. Later in the day, Spiderman dropped in, and had such a good time that he promised he would come back to the store for another visit.

More than 125 gamers participated in the Super Smash Brothers tournament, and Jay Tan was the lucky winner of the very popular and hard-to-find Wii Nintendo console. The Matt English family, dressed as various Mario Party characters, won the costume contest and was awarded a $100 in-store gift card.

“We appreciate the support of the community and look forward to strengthening our relationship with them,” Hix said. “All customers will experience superior service from a friendly staff, and we will continue to offer the best selection of games, consoles and accessories. Our in-store tournaments and contests will give gamers a chance to have fun meeting each other, showing off their skills, and competing to win great prizes.”
