In addition to participating in the official opening ceremonies, Mayor England played a rousing rendition of “You Really Got Me” as made famous by Van Halen on Guitar Hero, cheered on by the enthusiastic crowd. Later in the day, Spiderman dropped in, and had such a good time that he promised he would come back to the store for another visit.

More than 125 gamers participated in the Super Smash Brothers tournament, and Jay Tan was the lucky winner of the very popular and hard-to-find Wii Nintendo console. The Matt English family, dressed as various Mario Party characters, won the costume contest and was awarded a $100 in-store gift card.

Play N Trade’s First Annual Vendor Invitational Draws Sales Executives from Leading Video Game Companies

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., April 5, 2007 -- Play N Trade Franchise, Inc., one of the fastest-growing franchises worldwide, recently held its first Annual Vendor Invitational, which was attended by sales executives from leading video game software developers and accessory manufacturers.

Participating in the Play N Trade invitational were industry veterans from EA, Sega, Vivendi, Konami Digital Entertainment, T2K, Logitech, Intec and D3Publisher.

The event included an evening dinner showcasing the company's new high tech video game boat. The following morning, vendors met with Play N Trade executives for presentations describing Play N Trade's expected growth and co-marketing collaboration efforts.
